Other Details to Note

We have a portable projector which can be used inside and in the garden (weather/ sun brightness permitting). We have Sonos speakers in the cottage and a turntable for listening to records. The nearest town is Kirriemuir- about 10 minutes away by car. Firewood is available in our garage for the hot tub and stove, and we supply all towels and bedding. The garden area has a gate to keep pets in. There is a kids climbing frame in one of the fields. The hot tub is wood fired which means we don't need to use any chemicals. We empty and clean it after every stay. Due to the nature of a wood fired hot tub and the farm's location we can't prefill it with water in case it freezes, and we can't pre-light it for arrival as we can't leave an unattended fire. The tub takes about 30 minutes to fill and 3-5 hours to heat up using about 20 logs. The hotter a fire you can acheive the quicker it heats up. In winter it gets extremely dark at Hillockbrae but there is a torch inside the house and solar lights externally- these are at the mercy of the sun shining. We suggest you stock up on logs prior to it getting too dark outside.
